Lynx are flat out spectacular, especially their ear tufts, sideburns and paws.

I saw one on a hillside once, in the snow. It’s been almost a decade, but still crystal clear in my mind’s eye. I don’t know if this particular kitty is a Violent Femmes fan, but lynx paws really are enormous.

The different shades of green stripes please me endlessly. The checkered stripe is to keep you on your toes. I’m not going to lie, there were times I felt like a crazy person, painting hair after hair after hair. But I think it was worth it. I love this painting!
